Jessie is the creative force behind Portland's beloved "Whatif Creations." You can spot her art in coffee shops and cafes, in gift shops and stores all around the city. Her art is bright and smile-inducing, with a weird side that keeps you wondering - Whatif?
It all began when Jessie was a stressed out, overworked social worker. She soon found that the hybrid animals she was designing brought her clients joy too, so she began involving them in the creative process as a way to connect with them. Eventually, Jessie went out on a limb - What if I could be an artist professionally? What if I could take this concept and share the art more broadly? Fast forward seven years, and Jessie has gone from flipping tacos at 2am while handing out hybrid animal pins, to being a well known and loved staple in the Portland art scene.
